2nd Amend Training was founded by Clifton Chambers with a clear and passionate vision: to give everyone — regardless of background or experience level — the opportunity to learn about firearms safely, responsibly, and confidently. Based in Alexandria, VA, I built this company on the belief that education is the foundation of safe firearm ownership, and that every student deserves a patient, engaging, and thorough instructor.

I'm not just a firearms instructor — I'm a dedicated educator who brings professionalism, patience, and genuine enthusiasm to every class. My credentials include:

  • NRA Certified Instructor   (Pistol, Rifle, CCW, Protection inside the home, Protection outside of the home and Defensive Pistol.)
  • NRA Training Counselor 
  • USCCA Certified Instructor (Concealed Carry & Home Defense, Women's Basic Pistol, Marksmanship Coach, and Children's Firearm Safety Instructor.)
  • State-certified instructor in Maryland, Washington D.C., Utah, and Illinois

With certifications spanning multiple states and nationally recognized organizations, we are equipped to guide students through courses that are recognized in up to 46 states — making 2nd Amend Training one of the most comprehensive training options in the region.
